Information on Reiki Healing

In this article I want to talk more about reiki healing and what we can expect from a reiki healing session.

Growing up and being educated in the west....our idea and concept of healing is actually quite different to the eastern approach....and this is possibly the first thing we need to address if we are going to use reiki in our lives.

All too often in the west the cycle goes like this.......we get ill and then reach for a cure.

While we are not ill we might pay some attention to our diet, exercise and lifestyle choices in order to stay well....but it is only when illness occurs that we look specifically for something to heal that illness.

The reiki approach is somewhat different.

Healing is something which we incorporate in our everyday activities the same as diet, exercise and other lifestyle choices.

We do not wait until illness is upon us to reach for the cure.

Wellness, balance and harmony are constant things in this universe....and as this is a physical world there are always opposing forces around us which can upset that balance.

Reiki and reiki healing is fundamentally about maintaining wellness, maintaining balance and maintaining harmony.

It is something that we do each day.......and in that......illness and disease are much less likely to take hold.

If we try to use reiki healing in the same way as we use western medicine.......ie.....we only reach for it when we are ill, we are asking something of reiki which is quite foreign to its nature and heritage.

Yes, reiki will still have some effect, and some miraculous success stories will support that, and we should use reiki healing in those situations.

But reiki is such a simple thing to learn and it is in fact as natural as air once you become accustomed to it, that learning to use reiki and performing daily reiki healing on yourself....especially when you are not ill.......will help to increase your overall sense of wellness, balance and harmony.
