Reiki Principles.
The Reiki Principles are:
Just for today, I will not anger.
Just for today, I will let go of worry.
Just for today, I will do my work honestly.
Just for today, I will give thanks for my many blessings.
Just for today, I will be kind to my neighbour and every living thing.
Just for today, I will honour my teachers.
There are a few different interpretations of the Reiki Principles which all stem from the original transcript.
Many people have put their own interpretation into these principles.
I invite you to start to live them for a while. You will soon find your own interpretation.
More Reiki Principles.
Although the above are taken as the main principles of Reiki there are more basic principles which are interwoven into the successful practice and understanding of Reiki.
The principle of “exchange” is a main part of Reiki.
Dr. Usui , in his original treatments did not ask for the exchange factor. He gave Reiki healing freely to anyone who wanted it. He soon discovered that without a commitment from the person receiving, that person could not fully receive.
Reiki Healing and Reiki Attunements should always be charged for, for the reason stated above.
Many people who are attracted to Reiki are generally very compassionate and giving people, and it can seem wrong to charge for something which is all around us and in us all of the time. But the principle of exchange was born out of compassion.
Another basic principle of Reiki is that “You Can Heal Yourself and Others”.
We all have that ability, it is untrue that some have it more then others or that not everyone has it in them.
It is not a matter of one person being more “blessed” than another. That actually flies in the face of the above principles.
